That's a tough one, because, I don't know how books stack up length wise. The Bible? Les Miserables? The Europe: A History book is huge, but I'm not actually done with it yet.

Books: Show us a great beach read.
I'm debating rereading this. I only read the first 4 books of the series, it was losing its punch and I didn't want to end up hating the series by following it too far down. But anyway, this is a well-written, interesting story with a libertarian slant and it is rather refreshing to agree with the author's politics. Also, it's like 800 pages, so you can read it all day, or weekend, depending on time spent gazing at passer-bys and/or naps.
I guess I should get my annual summer reading plan in line. I can't believe it's June already. I think it's going to be a very Baen summer. I guess I'll read the rest of the Harry Potters, although my enthusiasm waned after the first three, I have no emotional ties to the books so I might as well finish it.Toss in something educational <pixies>IT'S EDUCATIONAL!!</pixies>, a classic, and I should be set.

Which was a pleasant surprise because I'd never read any of Lackey's stuff and found that she writes pleasantly diverting fluff. And I now own more of her books than I care to admit. Pleasantly.
In other words I go into a airport bookstore, find a likely looking scifi/fantasy book and go with that.
