What is your favorite dish on the Thanksgiving table?

Stuffing. But without raisins or other fruit-like things in it.
A minor one anyway. Isis watched Daisy from the bottom of the stairs, only minorly puffed up and then crossed the hallway despite the monster looking down on her. Piper came upstairs after Daisy had been asleep for an hour or two and despite Daisy waking up didn't run away for at least a minute. I think in a few more days they might get used to her. Daisy has still yet to even see them, so that's a whole nother bridge to cross when we get there.
Still no picture. I keep forgetting to take my camera home.
On the positive side, the cats were willing to come out and let me pet them despite the strange noises overhead. They ate their normal amount too.
On the negative side, Daisy dug at my door jamb trying to get out sometime either yesterday or last night. I just noticed it this morning. Totally splintered the jamb, quality piece of wood that it was. So that's annoying, but since I didn't catch her at it, tough to discipline.
Okay, I don't have a picture yet, but I will post it soon. Her name is Daisy, she is some sort of boxer mix. I'd guess she's somewhere between 3 and 6.
It all started about a month ago. There was this dog, lying in the bushes in front of my house. So I went over to see what was happening. She was nervous and headed down the street as soon as I came near, but I saw someone had put out food and water for her, so I thought, okay, wait and see what happens. Later that afternoon I went out to check on her and my neighbor (2 houses down) came up and told me they had been feeding her and trying to get her to come with them. I said, cool, if you have any trouble, let me know, don't call the humane society, they're just going to end up putting her down.
Fast forward to Saturday. My neighbor knocks on my door and says that because the dog a. is scared of men and b. is very clingy, they were wondering if I could take her. I said sure, why not. I picked her up Sunday afternoon. She didn't want to leave. The neighbor's wife had to walk with us over to my house in order to get her to come with me. I get her in the house and she spent the next 4 hours waiting for the door to open so she could go home. In the meantime she is very friendly and loving, and just wants to be petted. She refuses to come, she has been tricked by that one too many times, she doesn't know sit or down or stay. So I don't dare let her off her leash to run, she'll never come back. But she heels well and she won't go into a room she hasn't been invited in to. She's a weird mix of training and fear and rebelliousness.
Last night we went for a walk, in the opposite direction from the neighbors, she refused to come in the house after we got there. Just stood at the door half in, half out and started shaking. Eventually she came in. I give her a treat every time we go back inside after going out, but she isn't a greedy gus and bribes don't work well on her.
My cats, as soon as they heard a stranger come in the door bolted and were under the bed. Saturday night they escaped to downstairs (where their food and water and litterbox is). They have been hiding down there since, though I did get Isis to come out and let me pick her up this morning. I think another day or two and they will be willing to walk around downstairs. A week and they might be willing to meet the dog.
So today is a big day for Daisy, her first time alone in the house. I can't wait to see what I come home to.
